Returning to 澳门彩开奖 this fall is Aoife Scott, an award-winning folk singer and songwriter based in Dublin, Ireland. Born into the legendary Black Family, Aoife, is an established artist in her own right, and at the very pinnacle of Ireland’s traditional and folk music scene. Aoife is joined by her longtime collaborator Andy Meaney for this night of music from the Emerald Isle.

Genevi猫ve Racette, a highly acclaimed folk-pop musician from Montreal, Qu茅bec, has captured the hearts of listeners with her gentle yet compelling emotional resonance. She is joined by award-winning songwriter/performer from Ann Arbor Michigan, Katie Pederson. Katie, now based in Nashville, is a winner of the International Songwriting Competition, and a 2024 finalist in the Independent Music Awards.

Mark your calendars to see Lafayette, Louisiana singer/songwriter Elise Leavy, an award-winning singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Elise is touring this spring to support her brand new album, “A Little Longer,” and will feature songs from the album on both guitar and piano.

Joliet Symphony Orchestra鈥擱EMEMBER: A Celebration of American Composers
Saturday, February 24, 2024 – 7 p.m. and听Sunday, February 25, 2024 – 4 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate American Music and Black Heritage Month with a concert set featuring the 鈥淎ndante moderato鈥 by Florence Beatrice Price, the first African-American female symphonic composer, as well as Aaron Copland鈥檚 鈥淎n Outdoor Overture鈥, selections from Leonard Bernstein鈥檚 鈥淲est Side Story鈥, and John Knowles Paine鈥檚 鈥淪ymphony No. 1.鈥 In their own voice, each of these four composers each share their unique stories through their distinctive American sound.

The JSO presents its annual Family Concert & Instrument Petting Zoo. Join us for a captivating musical experience for the entire family! There will be opportunities to sit 鈥榠n鈥 the orchestra, experience music from a fresh perspective, discuss what defines music and how it is created, and more! Come explore the orchestra and orchestral music with us. This is certain to be an unforgettable and exciting experience for all ages.

Joliet Symphony Orchestra: “Revitalize”
Saturday, December 9, 2023 – 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 10, 2023 – 4 p.m.
French horn soloist Emily Whittaker and the JSO explored music that revitalizes us in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart鈥檚 challenging 鈥淐oncerto No. 3 in E-flat Major.鈥 Also on the program was the stirring 鈥淔roissart Overture鈥 by Sir Edward Elgar and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 in F Major, opus 68 “Pastoral.” This program delighted and surprised as the JSO and audiences journeyed together through some familiar and unfamiliar musical landscapes

Talented trios Crooked Tails and The Rebel Eves , from the Land of Lincoln and the Great Lakes State respectively, magnified guests’ sense of the world with their soulful songs and beautiful harmonies.

Joliet Symphony Orchestra: 鈥淩enewal鈥
Saturday, October 7, 2023 – 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 8, 2023 – 4 p.m.
The JSO welcomed new artistic director and conductor, Sean Paul Mills, during this kick-off event, featuring Giuseppe Verdi鈥檚 鈥淟a Forza del Destino Overture,鈥 Antonin Dvorak鈥檚 鈥淎merican Suite,鈥 Modest Mussorgsky鈥檚 鈥淣ight on Bald Mountain鈥 and Felix Mendelssohn鈥檚 鈥淩eformation Symphony.鈥 Each composer tells a story about the human experience through their own, unique musical language. Guests experienced renewal through beautiful symphonic music!听

Aoife Scott and Andy Meaney

澳门彩开奖 was thrilled to welcome Aoife Scott and Andy Meaney, multiple award-winning musicians from Dublin, for the first Music at Moser show in the 2023-24 school year. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Aoife Scott brought soulful vocals and evocative storytelling to 澳门彩开奖. Her music, exploring themes of love and resilience, has captured the hearts of audiences around the world, offering a unique blend of folk, traditional and contemporary styles. Scott’s recognitions include Celtic Female Vocalist of the Year and Female Vocal Album of the Year (2021) and Irish Folk Song of the Year (2017). Scott and Meaney were joined by local musicians who opened the show, then joined on stage for the encore.
