French horn soloist Emily Whittaker and the JSO explored music that revitalizes us in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart鈥檚 challenging 鈥淐oncerto No. 3 in E-flat Major.鈥� Also on the program was the stirring 鈥淔roissart Overture鈥� by Sir Edward Elgar and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 in F Major, opus 68 “Pastoral.” This program delighted and surprised as the JSO and audiences journeyed together through some familiar and unfamiliar musical landscapes

The JSO welcomed new artistic director and conductor, Sean Paul Mills, during this kick-off event, featuring Giuseppe Verdi鈥檚 鈥淟a Forza del Destino Overture,鈥� Antonin Dvorak鈥檚 鈥淎merican Suite,鈥� Modest Mussorgsky鈥檚 鈥淣ight on Bald Mountain鈥� and Felix Mendelssohn鈥檚 鈥淩eformation Symphony.鈥� Each composer tells a story about the human experience through their own, unique musical language. Guests experienced renewal through beautiful symphonic music!听

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Aoife Scott brought soulful vocals and evocative storytelling to 澳门彩开奖. Her music, exploring themes of love and resilience, has captured the hearts of audiences around the world, offering a unique blend of folk, traditional and contemporary styles. Scott’s recognitions include Celtic Female Vocalist of the Year and Female Vocal Album of the Year (2021) and Irish Folk Song of the Year (2017). Scott and Meaney were joined by local musicians who opened the show, then joined on stage for the encore.
